The expert from Saint-Petersburg Forestry Research Institute took part in the EU4BIO International Workshop on Bioenergetics

(11-12 March 2014, Riga, Latvia) Alexander A. Steptchenko, Saint-Petersburg Forestry Research Institute Deputy Director for Regional Development took part in the EU4BIO International Workshop on Bioenergetics.

EU4BIO is the second international workshop dedicated to the issues of bioenergetics. The main idea of the event was to share the accumulated experience in the field of bioenergetics and biotechnologies.

The only expert represented Russia on the workshop was Alexander A. Steptchenko, Saint-Petersburg Forestry Research Institute Deputy Director for Regional Development. His presentation “Forest Bioenergetics: problems and prospects (in terms of Russia Northwestern Federal District”) aroused a keen interest within the members. The workshop organizers took a lively interest in bioenergetics situation in Russia and also opportunities of co-operation with Russian companies and organizations in the field of bioenergetics resources.
