Participation in the International Scientific and Technical Jubilee Conference "Development of ideas G.F. Morozov in the transition to sustainable forest management"

On April 20-21, 2017, the staff of SPbFRI  took part in the International Scientific and Technical Jubilee Conference "Development of the ideas of G.F. Morozov in the transition to sustainable forest management " (the town of Voronezh, which was held on the basis of the Voronezh State Forest Technical University (VSFTU)  The delegation of the Institute included: Director Vasilyev Igor Anatolyevich, Deputy Director Petrunin Nikolay Alekseevich, Head of the Economic Research Department Vasilyev Oleg Igorevich, Head of the Planning and Economic Department, Graduate Student, VGLTU Torzhkov Ivan Olegovich, Junior Researcher of the Research Department for Forest Ecosystem Monitoring, VGLTU graduate student Kushnir Elizaveta Andreyevna .

At the plenary session of the Federal Forestry Agency, the report was made by the Head of the Department of Forest Use and Reproduction, Doronin M.S. A welcoming speech from the  SPbFRI was made by the director Vasilyev I.A., deputy director Petrunin N.A. presented the report "Problems and perspectives of the RF timber industry complex development.  

Grand-grand-daughter of G.F. Morozov Marina Andreevna Bonch-Osmolovskaya was invited to the event and told the participants the story of the family of a well-known forest man.

Vasilyev O.I. made a presentation on the topic "Development of wood bioenergy in the regions of the Arctic zone in the Russian Federation" at the section session "Economic Perspectives of the Transition to Sustainable Forest Management". Vasilyev I.A. took part in the discussion

Within the framework of the conference, a joint meeting of the Council of Young Scientists of Rosleskhoz and VGLTU was held. The chairman of the Council of Young Scientists for Rosleskhoz Torzhkov I.O. informed the audience about the work the Council of Young Scientists. The discussion was attended by Kushnir EA, young scientists of VNIILGISbiotekh and VGLTU.

 In accordance with the plan of the event, the participants of the conference visited a small innovative enterprise "The Nutrition Complex of the Voronezh Region", and also got acquainted with the work of the Biotechnology Laboratory of the  "VNIILGISbiotech".
