Participation in the All-Russian Conference "Main Results of Forestry in the Russian Federation in 2016 and Challenges for 2017"

April 14, 2017 in the All-Russian meeting "The main results of forestry in the Russian Federation in 2016 and tasks for 2017" was attended by the director of the  SPbFRI  I.A. Vasilyev.

The meeting was chaired by Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation - Head of the Federal Forestry Agency I.V. Valentik.

The plenary session was addressed by: deputy chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation A.G. Khloponin; Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation on Environmental Activities, Ecology and Transport, S.B. Ivanov; Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation S.E. Donskoy; advisor to the President of the Russian Federation, special representative of the President of the Russian Federation on climate issues AI. Bedritsky; plenipotentiary representative of the Government of the Russian Federation in the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation A.V. Yatskin, Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Agrarian and Food Policy and Nature Management M.P. Shchetinin, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Natural Resources, Property and Land Relations N.N. Petrov

The main topics discussed at the event are the fight against forest fires, conservation and restoration of forests of the Russian Federation, and the economy of forestry. The issue of implementing the events of the Year of Ecology was discussed. Particular attention was paid to the transition to an intensive model of forest management, the development of which was carried out by   SPbFRI.

The final report on the activities of the forestry sector in 2016 was presented by the Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology, the head of the Federal Forestry Agency I.V. Valentik. 

Heads of constituent entities of the Russian Federation, heads of federal bodies of executive and legislative power, heads of executive bodies in the field of forest relations of the subjects of the Russian Federation, business community, public organizations and science took part in the meeting.
